Charles Stross

I once picked up a book of him (Halting State) and laughed out loud in the first chapter. A detective enters a room to be witness to a recorded crime, when some geeks show him a video of a bank robbery of a dwarven vault by a band of orcs, a dragon and whatnot. The detective is too old for this shit. And the books escalated into a full meltdown of private communication of the police. I must remember to pick up some more of his books, like his latest trilogy “Tales of the New Management” (Dead Lies Dreaming (2020), Quantum of Nightmares (2022), Season of Skulls (2023)).
